Why Bear Hollow
box pleats
The fold
Pleats are folded outward from a central flat, using less cloth for the same body and hanging with more swing. It is the older construction, and it is what a working man's kilt looked like before regimental dress standardized on a single alternative.
The finish
Every pleat is set and steeked by hand, then pressed to the sett so the pattern matches at the fold. It holds its shape and its movement for decades, not just for one afternoon.
